ACTIONS THAT CAN DAMAGE YOUR MODEL

YOUR APOGEE WATCH WILL CONTINUE TO TELL THE TIME ACCURATELY THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE IF IT RECEIVES THE RIGHT CARE. THE FOLLOWING TIPS WILL HELP YOU PRESERVE IT OVER YEARS.

Crown Scewing

CROWN SCREWING

Make sure the crown is correctly screwed in to prevent water from entering the case. Some models have a red indicator which, if visible, shows that the crown is not correctly screwed in.

Temperature

TEMPERATURES

Watches do not fare well in extreme temperatures, particularly the seals. Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (above 60 °C or significantly below 0 °C) or to extreme temperature fluctuations.

Water Resistance

WATER RESISTANCE

Your model is marked water-resistant. Never exceed the water-resistance limit, otherwise you risk serious damage to your APOGEE. Please note that the water-resistance of a watch can be affected by aging gaskets or by an accidental shock. We strongly recommend that you have your watch regularly tested for water-resistance by a watchmaker.

Choc on the case

SHOCKS

All APOGEE watches are tested in accordance with the official standards of the Swiss watchmaking industry. Although APOGEE watches can withstand shocks, violent shocks should be avoided as they may damage key components.

Chemical products

CHEMICAL PRODUCTS

Avoid direct contact with detergents, perfumes, solvents, acids, etc., as they may damage the bracelet, case or gaskets. They may damage the case or gaskets, compromising its watertightness.

Swimming

SWIMMING POOLS AND SEAWATER

Magnetic

MAGNETIC FIELDS

The Grand Lac model features a soft-iron cage designed to shield the movement from magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. However, it is advisable to avoid prolonged exposure to strong magnetic sources, such as speakers or magnets, as they may affect the movement's performance. If your watch becomes magnetized, consult a watchmaker to have it demagnetized.

Always rinse your watch in fresh water after swimming either in a pool or in the sea.
